Because the Dutchess County Historical Society did not have its own, dedicated physical space and home until it moved into Clinton House in Poughkeepsie in 1980, its collections had been housed at Adriance Memorial Library. Collections were maintained at Clinton House until the 2023 relocation to Rhinebeck.
